Sharyn Lewis, General Manager/Director

Trained as a teacher, specializing in English and ESL, Sharyn has taught in Toronto and abroad. As dean of residence and student/parent liaison at an overseas school, Sharyn developed a thorough grasp of the needs of students and their families. In addition, she has over 35 years experience in training and consulting with individuals and groups in both personal business enterprises and upper-management corporate positions. Her insight and expertise is now used to interview, select and train tutors. Matching the right tutor to the right student is her number one priority. Sharyn builds positive relationships with her clients, as she professionally directs the daily operations of QT, emphasizing the importance of customer service, results and satisfaction.

Anthony (Tony) Lewis, Educational Consultant

Throughout his 41-year career as a teacher and Principal, Tony has helped students with everything from course selection to career paths. His extensive experience in alternative, special and community-based education has assisted thousands of students in their successful completion of secondary school. As a coach, mentor and student advocate Tony has guided countless students' academic development, along with their social and emotional growth. Prior to his retirement Tony chaired the Ontario Principals' Council for York Region. Currently, he is an Educational Advisor for (www.tropicaltree.com), a company offering educational student trips, and the Director of Education for QUILS, Qualified Independent Learning Schools (www.quils.ca). Dr. Evan Lewis

In the fall of 1999, Evan, a university student himself, established QT as a tutoring service to help other students reach their potential. Since then, Qualified Tutors has grown and has assisted hundreds of students to develop strong study skills and achieve higher grades. While studying sciences at McGill University in Montreal, and then medicine at the University of Ottawa, he continued to tutor, consult, and assist in the development of Qualified Tutors Inc. Dr. Evan Lewis is now a resident in Pediatric Neurology at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in Ottawa.
